Bart Hartman Rolls to $5,000 Win at Florence;
Eyes Hometown Outlaws Show this Saturday!
(ZANESVILLE, OHIO) Zanesville, Ohio native Bart Hartman reached
victory lane for the second time in 2010 last Saturday night,
July 24 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky!
Bart timed in twelfth quickest during qualifying and later won
his heat race in preliminary action at the 1/2-mile, high-banked
venue. The driver known as the "Bartman" then rolled
off from the outside of the second row in the 50-lap main event.
Bart grabbed the top spot in the early laps from Duane Chamberlain
and dominated the rest of the race to record the $5,000 win
over Mike Marlar, Darrell Lanigan, Eddie Carrier, Jr., and Justin
Rattliff. Complete results from the unsanctioned 'North/South
100' tune-up program can be found online at www.florencespeedway.com.
"We debuted a new Rocket Chassis at Florence last Saturday
and it performed flawlessly," commented Hartman this week
via telephone. "(Crew Chief) Austin (Hargrove) did a great
job putting the car together and it was fast right out of the
box. Hopefully, we learned a thing or two at Florence that will
help us when the North/South 100 rolls around in a few weeks."
The #75 team will look for similar success this Saturday evening,
July 31 at the nearby Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville,
Ohio. MCS will welcome the ultra-competitive World of Outlaws
Late Model Series on Saturday and a $10,000 top prize will be
up for grabs. The program will be part of the Ohio-Pennsylvania
Speedweek and will be headlined by a 50-lap main event. Additional
information on this one-day show can be accessed at www.worldofoutlaws.com.
