MAY 31, 2010
Bart Hartman and his #75 Dirt Late Model team reached
victory lane for the first time in 2010 on Friday night, May
28 at the nearby Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio!
The unsanctioned 'Late Model Memorial Race' was held at MCS
last Friday and the program honored multiple Late Model legends,
including Bart's father Butch Hartman. With that extra incentive,
Bart won his heat race and later started the feature event from
the outside of the front row. The driver known to fans across
the country as the "Bartman" grabbed the top spot
in the 'Late Model Memorial Race' around the halfway point from
leader Doug Drown and raced to the $3,000 triumph.
The Bart Hartman Racing (BHR) team then trekked to the newly
resurrected West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West
Virginia on Saturday and Sunday to close out the ultra-busy
Memorial Day holiday weekend. Bart won his heat race on Saturday,
led laps 11-24 of the 30-lap feature event, and wound up second
in the final rundown of the $8,000 to win program behind winner
Steve Shaver. A similar story unfolded on Sunday in the $10,000
to win show at WVMS, as the Zanesville, Ohio native started
twelfth in the 40-lap A-Main and passed ten competitors en route
to another stellar runner-up effort behind winner Steve Shaver.
